"During her final stage of life, she was cared for by the staff as if she was their own mother": a testimonial from Leanne Lusk
At Bethanie, we are committed to ensuring we are able to provide the best possible care to both our customers, residents and their families in their final days, months or years. We have taken the time to speak to some of our community and understand more about their experience with Bethanie's palliative care services.
Here, Leanne Lusk shares a small insight into her own personal experience:
“My mother, Beryl Delaney, lived in Bethanie Geneff for 6 years which included the final stage of her life when she received palliative care from Bethanie. During her final stage of life, she was cared for by the staff as if she was their own mother. The staff were attentive and very proactive to meet her constantly changing needs, and we [Beryl’s family] were kept fully informed during her journey. We were all welcomed to visit her at any time and could stay for as long as we wanted to. The Delaney family would like to thank Joanne Douglas (the Facility Manager) and all the staff for not only caring for Mum during this difficult period, but also for the way they cared for us.”
